(I know I update infrequently, but this is necessary to say. I posted it on twitlonger, but thought it might get more traction on this platform.)
#Oregonunderattack is the stupidest movement I've seen in a long time. There are much better reasons for anti government sentiment then two jackoffs who were poaching then decided to make that look like a controlled burn who are just getting the sentence that was reccomended in the first fucking place. Like the case of Tamir Rice who was killed by an officer who was mentally unstable, and, allowed back into the fold of police work.
If people had occupied over the case where a child with a toy gun, where the 911 operator said it was probably a toy gun, where the officer SHOT TO KILL ON ARRIVAL, and was still NOT CHARGED. I'd be sympathetic toward the people in the movement.
The people who are doing it now are Armed TERRORISTS, and deserve to be treated as such, but, we all know there is a bias to the US police force. As much as I'd love to say that America is the greatest nation in the world, and, that because we are a group of people from all over the world we've melded into the greatest, strongest people on earth, I can't. When people take race to the point of "Cultural appropriation" and the uber sensitive things like #Mizzou then am I surprised when I see the people saying that actions are justified?
The police are NEVER entitled to do what they have in the past and get away with it. BLACK LIVES MATTER but VICTIMS DON'T HELP. Rather Professional Victims or those who are Perpetual victims don't. I don't mean to imply that someone who went through Legitimate trauma doesn't help causes like getting a special prosecutor on cases of police violence, but, going on a hunger strike to get the university president to step down because someone OFF CAMPUS may have done a drive by shouting of the word NIGGER derails the movement.
Take this post for what you will, but know that this small editorial was brought on by the current state of affairs in the US and by the lack of motion toward solutions. I will end with a small story and a plea, I haven't voted in a single election since I was first able to vote. That was about 12 years ago. I made the biggest mistake of my life in that election, and have abstained since because I would feel similar regret if I lent my support to another candidate like GW. This time, I am going to break that vow. I have a person to believe in and a cause to get behind.
If you're for the real change in things like this, don't be swayed by the Bluster of Trump, or the honey of Hillery. They will just tell you what you want to hear. I Believe in Bernie, Money in politics is what caused MOST of these problems. He will work to change that,
Also, if you're in California, Take a look at this, I think we need to support it. http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2015-12-30/politicians-may-have-to-wear-donor-logos-in-california
